Baby Shower for Kelli Marchant

Her ribbon belley button actually wiggled around when Kelli laughed! So hysterical.

Michelle couldn't come but sent a cute basket of homemade fleece booties, this beautiful fleece blanket and machine embroidery burp pad.
She still needs lots of onzies, but friends are already asking to take over gifts and I will suggest onzies. Can't ever have enough of those.

The big basket next to Kelli was filled with Michelle's creations. She said she made the blanket and the booties and the burp pad just today! I was amazed that she got all that done in such a short time.

Gilbert Temple Construction

Ron and Beverley asked if I wanted to go see the Gilbert Temple construction site and of course I was anxious to go. It will be completed sometime in 2013.
Ron and Beverley said that since the last time they were here, so much, more progress had been made.
This side view shows the open cavity not yet filled in with brick wall. Oakland construction company does most of the work on the temples. There was no place to get out of our car so we had to just take pictures from the car.

Arizona Trip

The day I left Arizona, in front of Beverley's home.

Trying to figure out how to reverse the camera for Richard Medinger, an old friend from Marysville that now lives in Mesa.
Richard Medinger and his wife, Judy. It was great to see him and recall memories we had made in our old Marysville ward.
This is rare photo of Ron and Beverley and I, taken by Richard while he was visiting.
Saoking up Vitamin D in Arizona on the backyard swing at Beverleys home.
New at the Nail Salon. They talked me into gel nail polish. When it is done your nails are not wet. They look just like acrylic. However, for the novice, you don't want to get gel nails. One finger chipped off 6 days after having them done. They also, similar to acrylics, ruin your nails and weaken them. The icing on the cake is you can't get the polish off at home. You have to go back into the nail salon. So after 3 fingernails have chipped off, I will be paying a visit on Monday to the salon to have them remove the polish. Just gonna chalk it up to learning the hard way. You can see they are pretty and shiny, but pretty and shiny lost their appeal when I saw how much the underneath nail had deteriorated.

Snowstorm January 2012

As we drove to Snohomish to deliver a captain's bed and mattresses to Eric's home, I took these pictures of the approaching snow storm.
It was incredible how quickly the dense snow clouds rolled in.

By the time we arrived in Snohomish it was snowing pretty heavy. We dropped off the bed and left in the borrowed truck back to Stanwood and the comfort of our sweet little home. The beauty only lasted a few short days, but we managed with what we had stored.
