Visit to the Chiropractor

Once in awhile we do something stupid that requires a visit to the chiropractor. Frank and I worked out in the yard July 4 for 4-5 hours. I was doing really strenuous work hoeing up the old topsoil surrounding my raised beds. I guess my lower back didn't like me very much because I have been on Tylenol since last Friday and today, Tuesday I could hardly stand up without a lot of pain. So amazingly I called the chiropractor and saw him at 2 pm. I came home, followed his directions and iced it and fell asleep.
Frank is gone for two days to a Support Enforcement Conference in Tacoma. This is something that he does every year at this time for CLE (continuing legal credits)
So I am trying to take it easy and see the chiropractor again on Friday before working at the temple.
Till next time.

Spokane Hoopfest 2008

June 28th & 29th we traveled to Spokane, Washington to watch Eric and Brent play in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. Eric had participated the past few years but this was the first year both of our sons played together. We called the boys the 7-11 brothers since their numbers were 7 and 11.
Both days felt like sitting in a furnace for 8 hours at a time. The temperatures were unseasonably warm; 100 degrees and 104 degrees the second day which broke a record for June.

Brent said after the game that this black guy he had to guard was really tough. It was amazing to watch Brent hold his own with this guy who had to out weigh him by quite a bit and was taller. The guy was good and really knew how to throw his weight around under the basket.

The first game they lost, so they were in the losers bracket. They played seven games in two days, winning all until the championship game. They came in second. The winning team played only 4 games in two days compared to our guys who played 8. They said they had the will during the last game but their bodies had no get up and go left!
