Connecting with a Thelin Cousin

Today I called a second cousin who is my cousin Murray Thelin's daughter, Donna Marley (Thelin). Uncle Walter was Murray's father. Walter was my Dad's older brother.

She was sick for two years before they found a tumor on the pituitary gland. She had two brain surgeries and still could not get all the tumor. Because of the tumor all the parts of the body were being attacked because the pituitary could not do it's job. She had two strokes, a heart attack, was on oxygen, had liver failure, developed liguid in her lungs, and was in a wheelchair. She spent two years flat on her back in bed!

When she would pray the Lord told her that she could have a blessing for comfort and endurance but not healing YET. Last May she asked again if it was time for a healing blessing and got the answer yes. She had to be carried out of the wheelchair into the chair for the blessing. Immediately after the blessing she was healed. She walked clear to the car and the next day walked two miles with her children.

She has residual effects from it all. Her pituitary is gone and so are her adrenal glands. She has to take medication to make up for what those glands provided for in her body.

After talking with her I cannot allow myself to whine or complain.

Adyson Hanging out at Home

Memorial Day weekend the family gathered at Eric and Heather's home for a old-fashioned barbecue. We had steak, hot dogs, Heather's wonderful potato salad and jell-o salad. Michelle brought her usually great green salad and her infamously good Yogurt strawberry cake. Watermelon topped off all the goodies and we were so full. Adyson was at her best as she ate and ate and then ate more food. I don't know where she put it all. Then, to work it all off she tromped around the yard oblivious of all around her.
