July 31st we left for Island Park, Idaho. We stayed the night with friends in
Spokane overnight and left early Friday morning. We arrived in time for taco salad dinner which was so delicious after eating snack food all day in the car.
We were also greeted by hoards of mosquitos so we sprayed ourselves down with spray which kept most of the nasty insects away. We each got our token couple of bites just to remind us how we hate mosquito bites!
The campground was a tent city with tents equipped with all the amenities, king size beds, electricity, rugs on the floor, nite stands and reading material. Out houses still were the only choice of bathroom, but there were hot showers this year.
However, Frank is not a tenter/camper so we rented a cabin at Ponds Lodge. It was a brand new hardly finished cabin duplex. The blinds were not even on the windows yet kand one bathroom did not have electricity. With my back problems we did need a good soft bed.

Real Reason for My Back Pain
Long story short, my back pain was from a hairline fracture of the L5 vertebre in my lower back. A visit to my doctor who sent me for a Cat Scan, showed the fracture. It was caused by that dirty word "osteoporosis." The doctor asked me if I remembered injuring it. I thought it was the working hard in the yard, but after the fact I've discovered how it probably happened.
When Heather had a procedure done at the doctor, I watched her kids that day. I jumped on the trampoline with the kids. At the time I felt some pain so I quit jumping. I believe the fracture occurred with crazy grandma thinking she was 10 yrs old and not 57! Just a warning for all of you when you become grandmas. NO TRAMPOLINE JUMPING!
